The PDF has real, selectable text in standard fonts, so applicant tracking systems can read it, and it matches this preview line for line. No watermark. The plain text pastes cleanly into Word, Google Docs or an online application.

Resume tips that help you get the call

Make it easy to scan

  • Keep it to one page if you have under about 10 years of experience; two pages is fine after that.
  • Put your most recent job first.
  • Use 3 to 5 bullet points per job, each starting with an action word: led, built, cut, grew, trained.

Show results, not duties

  • Numbers stand out: "Trained 12 new hires" says more than "Responsible for training".
  • Write what changed because you were there.
  • Cut anything that doesn't help with the job you want.

Get past applicant tracking systems

  • Many employers scan resumes with software first. Single-column layouts with standard headings read best, and all four of our templates work that way.
  • Use words from the job post for skills you really have.
  • Send a PDF with real text (like ours), not a photo of a resume, unless the employer asks for Word.
